The Athena II is a significantly revised version of the Athena series with a much lighter build, thanks to a combination of carbon fiber and aluminum alloys. It offers very smooth performance, suitable for ultralight and light spinning applications. Comes with a large-angle slant spool, which helps in smooth and long-distance casting. There is a drag-warning “clicker” mechanism (metal alarm device) that alerts when the line is pulling off spool. The handle is right / left interchangeable. Asymmetrical “Power Rotor” for strength while minimizing weight. Digi-milled gears for precise performance. Alloy line guide that dissipates heat efficiently.
